Changes, re-checks and disputes
Businesses change: registrations lapse, partners leave, bank accounts move. Satyap re-checks records and the ownership map, and shows every change with its date.
What is re-checked
Business records
GST cancelled or suspended, GST returns overdue, a PAN that becomes inoperative, or a cancelled Udyam registration.
The ownership map
When a director resigns, a partner leaves, or a karta changes, the map changes too.
The bank account
A new bank account has to pass the ₹1 check again before it replaces the old one.
Who is told
- The business, by WhatsApp and email.
- Platforms and suppliers that have access, so they see the latest status rather than an old copy.
- Every change stays in the record with its date, never silently overwritten.
When something doesn’t match
A name difference
Initials, surname order and names changed after marriage are common. A mismatch goes to a person for review, never to an automatic rejection.
An inoperative PAN
If your PAN isn’t linked to Aadhaar, Satyap explains how to link it on the Income Tax site and lets you continue afterwards.
A wrong number or document
You are told exactly which item to fix: the typed number, the record at the source and the uploaded document must agree.
Joining a business already on Satyap
- An owner can invite the partners named in the deed.
- Or you can ask to join. You see the same neutral screen whether or not the business is on Satyap, so no one can use it to find out.
- An admin can confirm you but cannot refuse a partner alone. If they don’t know you, or don’t answer in 7 days, two people at Satyap review your claim.
- A request on its own only ever gives staff access.
Ownership under review
- If people disagree about who owns or runs a business, it is marked “ownership under review”.
- Risky changes, such as the bank account or adding and removing owners, are frozen until the review ends.
- Adding an owner always needs a fresh code and waits 48 hours, with an alert so it can be cancelled.
