Is Satyap free?
Yes. Creating, keeping and sharing your Satyap costs your business nothing, always.
Can I sign up now?
Not yet. Satyap opens soon, and the opening will be announced to Oxytra agents first.
Which email should I use?
Your own: personal, or your own work mailbox. Not a shared inbox like info@ or accounts@, because one login covers all your businesses. Business emails are added to each business later.
Do I need Aadhaar?
No. You can use DigiLocker, Aadhaar e-sign, or your PAN card with another photo ID. Aadhaar details are never shared.
What should I keep ready?
Your own PAN, a way to verify your ID, the business PAN and its bank account. The page “What to keep ready” lists it by business type.
Verifying the person
My name on PAN and Aadhaar is slightly different. Will I be rejected?
No. Differences like initials, surname order or a name changed after marriage go to a person for review, never an automatic rejection.
My PAN is not linked to Aadhaar. What happens?
Satyap explains how to link it on the Income Tax site and lets you continue afterwards.
I don’t have Aadhaar at all.
Use your PAN card and another photo ID, such as a driving licence, passport or voter ID. A person reviews it.
Do my staff need to verify their ID?
No. Staff only need their email and mobile. Only owners and signatories verify their ID.
Verifying the business
I run more than one business.
You verify yourself once and add each business on its own PAN. Your ownership is mapped to each one separately.
My GST was cancelled. Can I still join?
Yes. Satyap shows the status honestly, with its date, and tells you how to fix it. You can continue meanwhile.
What if I change my bank account?
The new account needs the ₹1 check again, and everyone with access is alerted.
Which business types are covered?
Proprietorships, partnership firms, LLPs, private limited companies, HUFs and trusts. See “Business types”.
Ownership mapping
We are three partners. Does each of us join?
The business is verified once. Each partner verifies themselves and is mapped to it, so the record shows everyone who runs it.
Is my DIN enough to prove I’m a director?
No, a DIN is public. Your verified name and birth date must match the company’s director list, and the DIN must be active.
What is the primary representative?
One named owner who is accountable for the business. Risky changes, such as the bank account or adding an owner, need them.
My business is already on Satyap. How do I join it?
An owner can invite you from the deed, or you can ask to join. If they don’t answer in 7 days, two people at Satyap review your claim.
What if there’s a dispute about who owns the business?
It is marked “ownership under review”, and risky changes are frozen until the review ends.
Limits
Does a Satyap record mean I can do business with someone without checking?
No. A record shows what was verified, who is mapped as owner, and when. Always make your own decision.
Does Satyap judge or rank businesses?
No. There are no ratings, scores or blacklists, only dated results.
Is Satyap a government service?
No. It checks against Income Tax, GST and MCA records, but it is run by a private company, Oxytra Tours & Travels LLP.
